Ironically, the rise in wages in the US to more than double of those existing now, which were fixed way back in 1989, is actually a very good move in favor of worker’s rights and human rights in general. I don’t see any reason why the Indian tech companies shouldn’t pay the higher amount to their own Indian employees when employed in the US. I am surprised how and why Indian labour should be working in the US away from their families at below par salaries (half the salaries). This is an excellent move for the welfare of the Indian tech workers. Indian companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, etc, have earned a bit too much at the costs of the rights of the workers. Now it is time to pay. There is no question of Indian government launching any protest on this. If they do, it will show not only Indian economy but also Indian diplomacy is directed towards the betterment of the rich and is prejudiced against the poor. I wonder if the Andh Bhakts will start chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai yet again.
