I don’t understand or like diplomacy, but this is straightforward.
First Russia conquers Afghanistan;
Then the US props up Taliban with the help of ISI and throws Russia out;
Then the Taliban do 9/11,
Then the US uses Masud’s Northern Alliance against Taliban and throws them out into Pakistan,
Then Pakistan do all things possible to destabilize Afghanistan and reinstate Taliban in Afganistan (interestingly with the US money),
Then India elects Modi, who is ready to open up a front in Afghanistan against Pakistan,
Then Russia comes back into the picture in collaboration with China and forces India and Pakistan to negotiate over “terror”/Taliban,
Then the Future: Pakistan and India takeover from the US and NATO in Afghanistan and, in the process, also negotiate Kashmir, and then Taliban once again take over Afghanistan (under some new name, and under the auspices of India and Pakistan, and under the hawk eye of the US, NATO, China and Russia).
But, there is only one obstacle: AFGHANS DON’T ALLOW FOREIGN OCCUPATION ON THEIR LAND!
